Seed-load technology

BackupAgent supports an easy ‘seed-load’-technology, which allows the initial backup of a large volume of data to a local hard drive, which can be shipped to the Backup Server. This eliminates the first backup over the internet of hours/days/weeks. Of course, subsequent backups will be made incrementally over the internet. This method saves time and bandwidth.

Additionally, in case of a disaster, the backup data can also be restored using a local hard drive. This allows you to be back-in-business ultra-fast. This feature allows SLA-based disaster recovery as an additional service to the online backup service.

Of course, all backup data on a local hard drive is fully secured and encrypted.
