We’ve released an update of our latest 4.2.1 server platform which includes the ability to monitor BackupAgent’s server application using Pingdom. This allows for pro-found monitoring and notification in case your BackupAgent servers are sub-par in terms of availability.

You can now check:

• Whether the web services are up
• Whether the database is still online
• Whether the required Windows services are running
• Whether the available throughput to your network storage is sufficient
